Collaborating organisations

Target3D specialise in the integration of cutting-edge tracking technologies, motion capture and virtual production, providing sales and service solutions in a variety of creative sectors, including VR & AR, robotics, biomechanics, animation and gaming. Using the latest technologies in such innovative ways has put Target3D at the forefront of the industry, with the opportunity to disseminate their knowledge amongst those eager to move into it.

Solution

In order to support learners to become more knowledgeable around virtual production, Target3D teamed up with Final Pixel and Feed Your Elephant to create a bespoke app for a course hosted by Barking & Dagenham College. Cutting edge content was translated into the app on a weekly basis for the duration of the course, with regular updates and amends made as thinking on the technology use developed.

Such a dynamic course needed an agile learning platform that could be updated in real-time without impacting the user learning experience.

Outcomes

Since the launch of the app it has been developed to also support Target3D deliver courses on motion capture, and for in-house training on virtual production so that employees speak with fluency when talking to potential clients. Barking & Dagenham College are also looking to use the app to support their own courses, from Level 4 upwards.
